  •  PERPETUAL MOTION

A hypothetical machine that works or produce without absorbing energy or input of energy

  • DYNAMO GENERATOR

A device that makes direct current electric power using electromagnetism. It is also known as a generator, however the term generator normally refers to an "alternator" which creates alternating current power.

  • BATTERY BANK

Is store energy so that it can be used when needed. In a stand-alone power system, the energy stored in batteries can be used when energy demand exceeds the output from renewable energy.

  • INVERTERS

Energy conversion devices turn energy from one form to another. An inverter in a grid connected renewable energy system converts direct current (DC) into alternating current (AC) mains power

FYP1 - JOURNALS THAT RELATED TO THE PROJECT

This is a few of journal about the project i choose

1. Generation of Electrical Power using Bicycle Pedal

It is known that the supplies of fossil fuels are limited and their utilization as energy source causes environmental degradation due to unfinished ignition when used as energy source, in addition to this as the world population increase the order for energy sources increases, so the issue of a steady replacement of fossil fuels with renewable energy source is of major consideration for most countries. Renewable power generation system is currently preferred for clean power generation. With ongoing revolution in the generation, electricity is generated at small level by using bicycle pedal. Bicycle is the main mode of transportation for many Indian villagers. Most of these villages are un-electrified. Power generated by pedaling can be converted from mechanical to electrical energy by using either dynamo or alternator.

2. Perpetual Motion Machine

Ever since the first century A.D. there have been relative descriptions of known devices as well as manufactures for the creation of perpetual motion machines. Although physics has led, with two thermodynamic laws, to the opinion that a perpetual motion machine is impossible to be manufactured, inventors of every age and educational level appear to claim that they have invented something «entirely new» or they have improved somebody else’s invention, which «will function henceforth perpetually»! However the fact of the failure in manufacturing a perpetual motion machine till now, it does not mean that countless historical elements for these fictional machines become indifferent. The discussion on every version of a perpetual motion machine on the one hand gives the chance to comprehend the inventor’s of each period level of knowledge and his way of thinking, and on the other hand, to locate the points where this «perpetual motion machine» clashes with the laws of nature and that’s why it is impossible to have been manufactured or have functioned. The presentation of a new «perpetual motion machine» has excited our interest to locate its weak points. According to the designer of it the machine functions with the work produced by the buoyant force

3. Hydrolectric Power

Hydroelectric Power is a form of energy a renewable resource. Hydropower provides about 96 percent of the renewable energy in the United States. Other renewable resources include geothermal, wave power, tidal power, wind power, and solar power. Hydroelectric powerplants do not use up resources to create electricity nor do they pollute the air, land, or water, as other powerplants may. Hydroelectric power has played an important part in the development of this Nation's electric power industry. Both small and large hydroelectric power developments were instrumental in the early expansion of the electric power industry.

Hydroelectric power comes from flowing water winter and spring runoff from mountain streams and clear lakes. Water, when it is falling by the force of gravity, can be used to turn turbines and generators that produce electricity. Objectives Define the term hydroelectric power to identify the use importance of this energy source To explain the process of harnessing hydroelectric energy To view and explain a diagram of the hydroelectric plant To discuss the environmental impacts associated with this energy source. Hydroelectric Energy Hydroelectric power, or hydroelectricity, is generated by the force of falling water. Or It is the water that is stored behind a dam/ reservoirs that can be used to generate electricity.

FYP1 - STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM, OBJECTIVE, TARGET & WORKING PRINCIPLE OF THE PROJECT

Statement of the problem

1.     How do I create a continuous cylce of electrical energy using a dynamo?
2.     How much power can produce by the device?
3.     How efficient is the device?
4.     How long can the energy supply power to the specific appliances ?

Objective

1.     To help not only less fortunate people but also to the users who seek to lesson-down their electricity bills
2.     To produce a more effective, prolonged electrical energy
3.     To focused on the development of a dynamo to generate electricity.
4.     To be able to establish the relative direction of the field, motion & induced current by using the “dynamo rule”.

Target

·       To all electricity consumers, especially to the rural community

Working principles

·       Use the simple energy conversion from mechanical to electrical. To generate electricity using the dynamo. Then, dynamo are connected and made to hold in structure firmly. And when the motor is moving induced wind will be passing through the propeller which makes to run dynamo and produced electricity

FYP1 - INTRODUCTION

FINAL YEAR PROJECT 1

Title for final year project ( fyp ) that i want to do is Renewable Sources Of Energy By Using Dynamo. I choose this type of renewable energy is because the project can bring economic benefits to many regional areas, as most projects are located away from large urban centers and suburbs of the capital cities. The renewable energy will give more economic benefits may be from the increased use of local services as well as tourism.

In this era, building electrical such as renewable energy are recently implemented in many places. One of the reasons the current technology go further as it will provide comfort feelings especially when working or living in the own house. In this project, the dynamo energy is used, dynamo is an electrical generator that produces direct current with the use of acommutator. Dynamos were the first electrical generators capable of delivering power for industry, and the foundation upon which many other later electric-power conversion devices were based, including the electric motor, the alternating-current alternator, and the rotary converter. This project is fully use the dynamo to supply in house.

The intention of this project is to build a straight forward powered generator from a used dynamo and to use it to electricity in house. This project will help one develop engineering skills while learning about a clean way of generating electricity. These system need to be improved and designed for maximum power output, cost-efficiency and marketability.
